In my candidacy statement, I mention playing for the top-seeded high school as a senior at Brookhaven High School in Columbus, Ohio. The year was 1973. An old friend, Steve Charles (and a USCF delegate for Ohio), provided this from his collection. From left to right, Dave Fenner, me, Terry Spencer, and Rick Aston. What a great memory, although we ultimately did not win the tournament.
